“to be human is to become visible while carrying what is hidden as a gift to others”

-David Whyte

Being on this merry-go-round of <doing, doing, doing> trying to prove your value does not feel good. Trust me, I would know! For years I was stuck in a cycle of constant motion, where I was over-scheduling, over-giving, and over-thinking everything! All that activity never felt satisfying or good, and it caused resentment at times. This pattern of busyness felt normal, like my home base. On the rare occasion when I had space to just be me, it felt too vulnerable and often led to self-sabotage. Not only that, the frenetic pace led to exhaustion and burn out.

Eventually I was able to create the change I longed for by slowing down, stopping the frenzied pace, and cultivating a deeper, more loving relationship with myself. Then real results started to happen in my health, happiness, and in the quality of my relationships.

I slowly started to shift old thinking patterns that left me feeling frustrated, isolated, and obsessed with how I appeared to others. After years of spiritual seeking, personal growth work and therapy, I realized I was never going to be able to make real change unless my thinking was radically changed first.

When I learned about mindset, neurobiology, mindfulness, and spiritual practices helped me to shift my focus which shifted my life. Every emotional trigger didn’t send me into a shame spiral of self-criticism and poor choices. I stopped wasting so much time (which opened up significant brain space to think about things that actually mattered.)

Welcome! I’m Toni Forman, glad you are here!

There is no greater gift than being able to fulfill our true potential. I am dedicated to helping people grow, connect with their internal resources and create a life that shines with vitality, meaning and connectedness. We are all a part of something bigger and there is nothing better than awakening to this fact!

We are all affected at times by cycles of suffering that leave us feeling depleted, weighed down, robbed of vitality. For over a decade I have supported individuals to move beyond anxious worry, mood disorders, trauma and substance abuse by making meaningful change happen.

If living a more empowered, embodied life is your aim, then I can support you to meet that goal. I help my clients to experience personal sovereignty as they shift from habitual, fear-based behavior and create a life that is more intentional and connected.

I share with my clients some effective tools of the trade including a mind-body approach, understanding of family systems and attachment work, and EMDR trauma protocols to support people struggling with whatever life throws them.

A master’s degree from Naropa University formed the foundation of my work. Somatic Counseling Psychotherapy was the focus of my studies, strongly influenced by Dr. Dan Siegel at the Mindsight Institute and the somatic work of Dr. Peter Levine. Meditation and mindfulness practices are very important to me and I share those with my clients. I attribute my own wellbeing to the brilliant guidance of my many teachers, my practice of Heart-Based Meditation, and a longstanding love affair with Yoga and other embodiment practices including qi gong and tai chi.

I am apprenticing to the wisdom of nonordinary states of consciousness to open doors that lead to healing of what previously caused so much pain. I recognize the gifts that embodied practices and plant medicines contribute to the healing journey, and I am in service to the integration process that occurs for each of us.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in Colorado. I am actively engaged in deep study in the arenas of breathwork and pranayama with various teachers, currently in holotropic breathwork studies in the lineage of Stanislav Grof and have received a certificate in Healing Breathwork with David Elliott.

I am a soul coach, somatic psychotherapist and breathwork facilitator. My work is driven by the belief that we are all born with a purpose that is uniquely ours to express. We have a natural longing to access our innate power, freedom and joy. I rely on the magic of breath and embodied experience with a healthy dose of play to access the infinite potential available to us all. Movement is medicine and I love to get my clients moving in a healthy way.

I work with individuals who are ready to reclaim their power, break out of the box and live with more meaning, joy and connection. I help people connect to their most authentic and creative selves. As a sacred disruptor, I help individuals to move beyond limiting patterns to live their best life.

My interest lies in exploring the intersection of psychology and spirituality. My approach combines somatic psychotherapy, neuroscience, family systems theory, intuitive guidance, subtle energy, and holistic integrative healing techniques. Through the power of presence, I hold a sacred safe space where my clients feel seen, heard and validated. They report that working with me provides the nurturing, challenge and perspective that helps them to see who they really are, move past limiting beliefs and into a greater vision of themselves and what is possible.

I am committed to cultivating strength, inspiration, and vibrant wellness within individuals and families. I invite my clients to get real about their current challenges and connect to their authentic gifts and purpose. If you are ready to take the next step in your healing journey, I offer a free 15 minute consultation to connect with you.

As a graduate of Naropa University, I have spent over a decade in clinical settings as a psychotherapist serving those affected by chronic mental illness and addictions.

In addition, I have been profoundly influenced by personal practices including yoga, meditation, breathwork, tai chi and chi gong.

The gifts of spirituality and a yogic practice strengthened my courage through times of loss and inspired me to work with those affected by trauma. Through professional and personal experiences, I have a deep understanding of the challenges that mental illness, addiction, suicide, and violence bring to individuals and their families. This has driven home the importance of finding our joy and human connection, regardless of circumstances!

I believe in the innate goodness and perfection of every person, every body, every gender. Over 15 years of experience serving those with depression, anxiety, and addictions has strengthened my dedication to instilling hope and self-love in every life I touch. I have been blessed by my various roles as householder, mother, wife, community builder, sacred musician, LGBTQ ally, and messy, imperfect work in progress.

Toni is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor in the state of Colorado with her M.A. degree in Somatic Psychotherapy from Naropa University.
